I’ve been doing some research with people from all different walks of life over the last several months. I can’t discuss the particulars yet, but the overwhelming theme is this: once we fully believe that we are enough, we are. And when that is your reality, the life you want for yourself follows. Yep. Sounds pretty simple…and I’ll admit, maybe a little new age and corny…but that doesn’t make it any less true. And we all know that simple isn’t the same as easy.
If the mission is to be the best version of ourselves that we can be, that means that our thinking has to support that. It’s essential to get rid of the acidic thinking that can erode a positive mindset, and diminish what we are capable of. Be too busy working on yourself to judge what other people are doing. It’s crucial to embrace possibility and nurture positivity. In addition, we have to be open to challenges, which rarely feels good; in fact, they’re usually freakin’ painful and punishing, but those challenges are fundamental to our growth and evolution.
Within that we learn that it is of great importance to forgive ourselves when mistakes are made, and to absolutely let go of what mires us in the past and weighs us down. Learn from those mistakes, work not to repeat them, and let them go. Holding on to them keeps happiness, peace of mind and success at a distance.
